Wassim Rabbath is a 2008-born Canadian defenseman from St-Hubert, Quebec, currently playing with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).
Born March 5, 2008, Rabbath is an imposing left-shot defenseman standing approximately 6'4" and 207 lbs. His combination of size, strength, mobility and defensive awareness gives him the physical tools to match up against high-level opposing forwards and play an important role on the back end.
Rabbath has steadily progressed through Quebec's elite development system, advancing from M15 AAA through M17 AAA and M18 AAA before earning an opportunity at the major-junior level with the Gatineau Olympiques of the QMJHL.
During the 2024–25 season, Rabbath enjoyed a breakout year with the Châteauguay Grenadiers M18 AAA, recording 1 goal and 20 assists for 21 points in 42 regular-season games, while finishing with an impressive +14 rating. He added another goal and assist during six playoff games.
His performance at the M18 AAA level demonstrated an ability to contribute beyond the defensive side of the puck. His 20 assists showed his ability to move pucks effectively, support offensive possession and help generate opportunities from the blue line.
Rabbath's development earned him recognition in the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft, where the Gatineau Olympiques selected him in the fourth round, 61st overall.
He subsequently made the transition into the QMJHL, appearing in games for Gatineau during both the 2024–25 and 2025–26 seasons. During the 2025–26 campaign, Rabbath played 18 regular-season games with the Olympiques, recording his first QMJHL goal and adding an assist.
Later that season, Rabbath joined the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL, where he continued his development against high-level junior competition. He appeared in 20 regular-season games for Alberni Valley, recording 1 goal and 2 assists, along with 16 penalty minutes and an even plus/minus rating. He also appeared in five BCHL playoff games.
The Bulldogs have welcomed Rabbath back for the 2026–27 BCHL season, giving the young defenseman another important opportunity to expand his role and continue preparing for NCAA hockey.
