Michael Heppner Jr. is a 2010-born American forward from Oregon City, Oregon, currently playing for Lovell Academy 16U AAA. Standing 6'1" and weighing 150 pounds, Heppner brings size, physicality, energy, and a strong work ethic to the forward position.
Elite Prospects identifies Heppner's player style as an Agitator, Physical Forward, and Workhorse—attributes that reflect a player willing to compete hard, battle for possession, play through contact, and contribute in the difficult areas of the ice.
Heppner began his recorded Elite Prospects career with the Portland Jr. Winterhawks 14U AA during the 2024–25 season. That year, he also competed at the USA Hockey 14U Tier II National Championships, gaining valuable experience on the national stage.
For the 2025–26 season, Heppner made the move from Oregon to Massachusetts to continue his development with Boston Hockey Academy 15U AAA. He appeared in 40 games at the 15U AAA level, recording 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points. He also competed in the BEAST 15U league.
Heppner continued his progression for the 2026–27 season, moving to Lovell Academy 16U AAA and taking another step forward in his development against high-level AAA competition.
At 6'1" as a 2010-born forward, Heppner possesses a physical frame that complements his competitive playing style. His game is built around effort, physical engagement, and a willingness to work in contested areas. Rather than relying solely on offensive production, he brings elements that can contribute throughout the lineup—competing for loose pucks, creating pressure, using his size and reach, and playing a hard-working style.
His progression from Oregon youth hockey to Boston Hockey Academy and now Lovell Academy demonstrates his commitment to pursuing higher levels of competition and continuing his development within the New England hockey environment.
As Heppner continues developing his skating, strength, offensive production, and overall two-way game, his combination of size, physicality, competitiveness, and work ethic provides a strong foundation for his continued progression as a forward.
