CURRENT TEAM: Northwood School 16U AAA

Kelly Matozzo is a 2009-born American forward from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who has established a strong offensive track record while progressing through AAA hockey.

Matozzo developed through the Philadelphia-area hockey system, playing for the Valley Forge Minutemen 13U AAA before advancing to the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers organization. His production steadily increased as he moved through the 14U and 15U AAA levels.

During the 2022–23 season with Valley Forge, Matozzo recorded 15 goals and 6 assists for 21 points in 24 AYHL games.

The following season with the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers 14U AAA, he produced 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points in 20 AYHL games, while adding another 8 points in 8 T1EHL games.

Matozzo continued his offensive development at the 15U level in 2024–25. Playing for the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers 15O AAA, he scored an impressive 17 goals in 17 AYHL games, finishing with 24 points. He also recorded 12 points in 16 T1EHL games.

For the 2025–26 season, Matozzo made the move to Northwood School 16U AAA, where his offensive production took another major step forward. In 52 games, he recorded:

34 Goals | 32 Assists | 66 Points

That performance gave him an impressive 1.27 points-per-game average and demonstrated his ability to contribute as both a goal scorer and playmaker.

At 5'8" and 170 pounds, Matozzo brings a solid frame to the forward position. His statistical progression shows a player who has consistently produced offensively while advancing into increasingly competitive levels of AAA hockey.

One of the most notable aspects of Matozzo's development has been his ability to find the back of the net. From 17 goals in 17 AYHL games at 15U to 34 goals during his Northwood 16U AAA season, his production reflects a forward capable of creating offense and finishing scoring opportunities.

His 32 assists with Northwood also demonstrate that his offensive contribution extends beyond goal scoring. The combination of 34 goals and 32 assists resulted in a nearly even scoring distribution and highlights his ability to contribute to the offense in multiple ways.

Matozzo's progression from Valley Forge to the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers and ultimately Northwood School represents a steady climb through competitive AAA hockey. As he continues his development, his combination of offensive production, scoring ability and experience against high-level competition provides a strong foundation for the next stage of his hockey career.
