Meet Callie Wiley

Callie Wiley,

My life has revolved around ice hockey for as long as I can remember. I first stepped on the ice at four years old and began coaching at 14, which is when I realized I wanted to work in hockey for the rest of my life.

I played my high school hockey at Andover High School, where I still hold the record for most points in a single season. I then continued my playing career at Saint Michael’s College, where I competed in Division I ice hockey and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Psychology. That background has given me valuable tools to help young athletes navigate the highs and lows that come with sports, development, and the recruiting process. My experience as a college athlete also gives me a firsthand understanding of what players and families need to know when evaluating college, academy, and prep school opportunities.

Professionally, I spent the past year building a girls program from the ground up at Boston Hockey Academy. Recruiting a full team of elite players from around the world allowed me to build strong relationships throughout the girls’ and women’s hockey world. In addition to recruiting, I helped guide players through the prep school and college application process while connecting them with coaches and programs that fit their goals. Seeing players earn opportunities at their dream schools motivated me to become an advisor and continue advocating for young hockey players.

One of the biggest mistakes student-athletes make is choosing a school based only on athletics. Too often, that leads to unhappiness, transferring, and starting the process all over again. At WSG, we focus on the whole picture. Our goal is to help each student-athlete find the right fit not only for hockey, but also for academics, social life, location, culture, and long-term development.
